I discovered a great new store in Lafayette - POWELL'S SWEET SHOPPE. It's new and is located at 3591 Mt. Diablo Blvd. I loved it (and that is an understatement)!! It brought back childhood memories. Specifically the joy of taking my allowance and running/riding bikes down to the local drugstore and buying penny candy! Lots of penny and nickle candy. Inflation has kicked in BUT, Powell's offers candy starting around .10 cents. Individual candies both retro and modern. My friend Mandy purchased a Chick-O-Stick today. Anyway, this place is like a Willie Wonka dream or Mr. Magorium's Magic Emporium. My kids were as thrilled as I was and spent a little of their allowance yesterday. You've got to visit this store!Today our friend's Seth and Kira (and kids) took us to Pixar.
Seth works their - tough life huh? It was amazing and totally fun!! Thank you Seth!!
My kids had a great time searching for the Ratatouille mice drawings randomly drawn on the walls all over the building. I enjoyed looking at all of the art work - paintings, drawings, sculptures, clay models.
It was completely mind blowing to see how much work/detail goes into making a movie.
Bryan is having a great time in South Africa. Production is going well. He went surfing today.
As he was walking up out of the surf he stepped on a Portuguese Man Of War. Thank goodness he was only stung on the big toe but he said the pain was horrible and went up his leg as well. Hot hot water seemed to relieve the pain and he's doing much better.Last but not least, Isaac's teacher has a great website.
I was looking through her latest pictures post and found a few classics from this year. Isaac is such a fun kid. I love his excitement for life. So here is Isaac in his 70's Day outfit with some of his friends.
