My Mom sent this great Easter Bouquet to our family. She sent fruit instead of chocolate or candy because Noah can have fruit. Doesn't it look great? In the base of the basket was a head of Iceburg lettuce instead of styrofoam to hold up all of the fruit. Thanks Mom - It was beautiful and yummy!Easter weekend was great. It started with "Crazy Hair Day" at Isaac's school.
Here is a photo of Isaac. He chose the hairstyle w/pony tails and toys in his hair. He is sooo funny!Bryan came home from South Africa on Friday afternoon. It's been great to have him home. We communicated daily while he was away but it just isn't the same as having him here. It was Bry's idea to spend each evening during the week prior to Easter studying the last week of Christ's life as a family. So, via Skype or phone, we studied the scriptures each night and learned, in detail, about the events leading to the crucifixion. It was great on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to have Bryan with us as we studied and talked about Jesus Christ as our Savior. I love this new way to celebrate Easter throughout the entire week.

Saturday morning, Bry's brother Rame and family arrived from Portland. All three, Rame, Jeanne & Jared are sun fanatics because it's limited in Oregon. So, they loved it here.
Saturday was filled with two baptisms - Congrats to Meleane & Eldon!! After the baptisms we hurried to catch "Spiderwick Chronicles" at the Moraga theatre, stopped by Powell's, went home for homemade pizza and finished up at The San Francisco Creamery in Walnut Creek.

Sunday was a bright day. Church was wonderful. Griff gave a great talk in Primary about the many ways that Christ has saved us (creating an Earth, giving us families and friends, setting an example, teaching love, service, kindness, suffering in Gesthemane & on the cross, giving His life on the cross, resurrection). Griff did a great job on his talk and I loved the many different ways that he discovered Christ has truly saved us.
After church, Rand and Linnea (Bry's brother), joined us for Easter Dinner. Yummy - Ham, grilled asparagus, green salad, rolls, baked potatoes & Martinelli's. So yummy!! It was topped off with Rand's almond cake covered with strawberries and whipped cream!

Monday we took Rame, Jeanne & Jared to Muir Woods in Mill Valley for a hike. It was absolutely amazing. After the hike, we ventured into China Town and ate lunch/dinner at nice restaurant. We traveled back home to enjoy smores around the firepit that evening.

Thanks to Rame, Jeanne, Jared, Rand & Linnea for a nice Easter!

You guys are fun! I love that the family that is in that part of the country hangs out! I wish we all lived close. The hiking looked beautiful!
What a great idea with the fruit basket. That would be a fun gift to get.

I love the picture of you and Noah looking up at the Redwoods - so cute! It sounds like such a wonderful Easter and I'm so glad that Bryan was able to make it back in time for Easter. It's just not the same with dad gone! And you guys sound like such fun hosts! You sure know how to show people a fun time :)
That fruit basket is so awesome!! I would much rather get that than a bunch of candy. And I love the idea of studying the Savior's life for the week leading up to Easter. I think we'll have to do that next year.
