Oregon

For years our friends Chris & Liz have invited us to visit their beach house in Gold Beach, Oregon. For reasons linked to Noah's epilepsy, we've haven't been able to go until this year. Seriously - one of the top family vacations ever!

Their home is beautiful! Vaulted ceilings and a west facing wall of windows to watch the ocean. Not only in Liz a fabulous cook and Chris a fabulous barbequer but they are also the best hostess and host ever. They even invited our dog, Kashi, to play with their dogs.

We were able to relax while doing tons of fun things. We hiked down their mountain to the beach. Enjoyed a hot dog roast, played in the ocean and searched for beautiful rocks and aggats. The next day, the Dad's played a round of golf. Liz and I took the kids to a small river where they were able to play in the water, hike upstream, throw rocks, search for newts and frogs, pick blackberries and picnic. The third day both families drove 30 minutes to a little larger river. We spent time swimming in clear blue water, throwing rocks, wading to a set of small rapids that the boys innertubed down, fly fished, had a picnic and relaxed.

Thanks to Chris and Liz for a great time. We'll definitely be back next summer! More ocean pictures to come.
