School begins.Kids happy!Mommy happy!!!Actually, I loved the summer with my boys. However, the last few
weeks before school involved a few spats between brothers.
Griff loves the new school, new class and new kids. He says his teacher is "rebellious because she breaks a lot of rules!" For example, they don't have to walk in line when they go out of the classroom. No no, now they can just be trusted to walk in whatever formation they desire. The kids eat this stuff up! His teacher is pretty great. She's fun and excited about teaching, learning, and discovering new ideas!!
Isaac is loving his 2nd grade. He loves Math and we're hoping his "love" of reading, which is currently in seedling form, will blossom soon! He's a great soccer player and comes home daily with new bruises and dirty knees. He really wants to wear his shin guards to school. His class is studying famous artists. He has enjoyed learning about Matisse. His first field trip is this week to the MOMA in San Francisco! He also began taking piano. When asked how his first lesson went, he responded "Fun but I thought I would be playing a few songs by now!" That's my Isaac!
Noah loves Preschool. He's been on an anti-communication rampage this past 4 weeks. Not communicating much with his words. Yikes!! But, his first day at school was great! Full word usage! Phone call from Grandma Twitchell - full 10 minute conversation. The Speech Pathologist is saying it's a power play. Praying praying praying. We're just grateful we're 19 weeks seizure free last Friday!!! WOW! Ketogenic Diet - amazing. I need to blog about it soon.
My days are spent involved with 3 different carpools, 2 kids in piano lessons, 1 in CubScouts adding another soon, volunteer meetings, and we've (the Aklan & Hermes District Cub Camp Planning Committee) have begun planning next July's Cub Camp already. Yep - I love the Cub Camp. I'm the fundraising chair and the staffing chair. Crazy but fun! Oh yeah - book club! Lovin' it! Great bunch of women from my neighborhood. Such fun friends & fun discussions! Last but not least -5 of my closest girlfriends and I are heading into San Francisco next week for dinner and Mama Mia!!! Yay!!!! Lovin it! Amy, one rockin' girlfriend, gave us the Mama Mia CD a few weeks ago. We're totally prepared to have a great time!!! WooHoo!

School starting just isn't enough for this family!! My Sweet Husband, Bry, took the last 4 days and all of next week off to work on our continued home project. We hired a great brick mason to finish up the brick edging on the front of our home! An awesome investment! Bry and I spent our time prepping the back and sides of the home for stucco repair. Mostly Bry. He hung in there with the back pain to prep and put on the first layer of stucco. We love our chiropractor! This week we'll focus on the last 2 layers of stucco and then move on to the garage remodel!!!! Yikes! Garage = huge job! Stay tuned for more remodel pictures! We'll have to prep & paint the entire exterior of the house soon. But that includes caulking, finishing grout details on the drystack stone and taping all windows and brick! What an amazing and dedicated husband! Have I said "I love my guy!"

Your house looks great! I really like the stonework. And you sound very, very busy my friend! I can't believe that school is in full swing already - isn't it still August? :)
