Time to Hit The Road

I actually believed that because I can't eat chocolate anymore, that I would be able to avoid eating my way through the holidays. Well....I was wrong. There is tons of great stuff to eat without chocolate. Ugggghhh!!

So.... back to my physical fitness obsession. The great news is that Bryan researched and found the perfect road bike for me! My Santa Clause gave me a Specialized Sequoia Elite for Christmas. Ok - before Christmas and I rode it just after Thanksgiving. I'm prepping for a Sprint Triathlon this Spring! I love running! Love Cycling! Get claustrophobic while swimming! Must work on that!

Anyway back to the routine - Lifting Tues & Thursday. Running Mon & Wed. Now - Cycling Friday. Possible Cycle or Swimming on Saturday morning. I am adding a quick 20 minute interval running set prior to lifting.

I'm also adding in at least 10 minutes of stretching to my workouts. My back is killing me and I know it's just that right hip getting to high due to the muscle tightness in my back.

Food Plan - Same every morning. Hot Herbal Tea first thing. Water during workout. Breakfast 60 minutes after workout (Egg w/ 1 piece of Toast, or Almond butter & low sugar jam on 1 piece of W.W. Toast, or Oatmeal with Almonds & a bit of diced apple with cinnamon). 5 small meals a day. Clean eating - almost NO sauces.

I'm absolutely looking forward to it! I am not kidding! I am so much happier and settled when I am fit! The endorphins are fabulous and it's great to feel good physically! Get Plenty of Sleep! Take care of yourself and relieve the stress!! Happy New Year! Get Fit!

"WHITE CHRISTMAS"

One of our favorite family traditions is decorating the Christmas Tree, having hot chocolate and watching "White Christmas." The movie is a classic starring Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. Not only is it a part of our Christmas but it's part of the Holt family experience too. I love it when Bryan's sisters sing it! In fact, Bry's sisters & brothers lip synced it at his sister Sue's wedding years ago.

So this year, Griffin and Isaac decided to perform the classic "Sisters" by Bing Crosby - Danny Kaye version at our Ward Christmas Party! It brought down the house! It was the hit of night!

I hope the Holt Family especially enjoys the boys' rendition!

Both the original and our version are linked!
Merry Christmas!
