Fishing with The Fam

Two Saturdays ago, we took the boys to the Lafayette Reservoir and went fishing! Bryan and I gave all of the boys new fishing polls for Christmas. Their first fishing polls. Actually, we got new fishing polls as well. My first fishing poll. We had a great time fishing off of the dock on the east side of the reservoir. Beautiful birds were on the lake the entire time. It was so peaceful. All three boys were mellow and just waited to catch "the big one." Unfortunately we only caught "bottom fish" otherwise known as the occasional slimy plant stuff.

But real FISHING isn't about the fish you catch. It's about the fishing, the friendship, the hanging out and talking and laughing.

TACKY SWEATER PARTY

I searched many a Goodwill store to find some "Tacky" Christmas Sweaters. Of course, because I really wanted a few, I couldn't find any at all. Bry came home from work one night and said - "I've got it! Let's make our own Tacky Sweaters! Homemade will be way better than buying one." So, that's what we did. We strung popcorn, worked in a few Christmas Lights and stuck some ornaments in for fun! The sweaters were a hit with Bry's office pals. Even our dog loved them as we caught her eating popcorn from mine just before we left home for the City.

**I must really love these decorations on our sweaters because I can't stand the way mine fits - my chest looks saggy and my tummy looks poochy in these photos! Yuck! Oh well - it's all about the Tackiness!
